FAQ

Below are some of our frequently asked questions with answers. If you have further questions call us.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes you do. Opening hours are dependent on bookings, so please call first.

Is paintball safe?

Yes, paintballing is very safe. Our staff are highly experienced and are very familiar with all the risks. They know what to focus on and your safety is their priority. We provide the highest standard safety and battle equipment.

What is the minimum age?

8 years old is the minimum for junior low impact paintball

Do I need to supervise my children?

Yes you do need to be present at all times whilst your child is at Lock N Load. Any child under the age of 18 must have an adult responsible for them at all times. Parents/Caregivers can watch the games or they can relax by the BBQ tables, but they cannot leave their children on site by themselves.

What happens when we arrive?

You will need to arrive 20 minutes prior to your allocated time. You sign in and are then required to fill in the necessary forms. You are then given a safety instruction session and outfitted with all your equipment. Your field referee will then escort you to your field and explain the game you will be playing – including all the rules. Then it is GAME ON.

How many people do we need to play paintball?

Typically we require a minimum of 8 participants (2 teams of 4) for a private game.  There is no minimum amount of players for a scheduled open walk on game (Sundays 12pm) or for weekend open sessions, however you will join another group.

When are you open?

Lock N Load Adventures is open 7 days a week, depending on bookings. On public holidays we only open if we have a large group booking otherwise we will close the park. We are closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day every year.

Monday – Friday: By appointment only with minimum 10 people per booking, call to book.

Weekends: We run group sessions and open sessions on the weekends:

  • Open sessions start at 9am, 12pm and last one is 3pm, no min numbers
  • Group bookings – talk to us about birthday, stag or other party needs

What should we bring?

Loose and comfortable clothes covering as much skin up as possible, those paintball’s are more uncomfortable when hitting exposed skin. If you are going to wear our overalls and the weather looks fine then please remember that with all the running around you may get very hot – so wear appropriate clothing! Sports shoes are best. You may also choose to bring some light gloves – or purchase/hire them from the shop. You will NOT be allowed on the field in jandals, sandals or bare feet.

What happens if it rains?

Games proceed unless the rain is very heavy. Please bring a jacket or raincoat if the weather looks less than ideal. A spare change of clothes for afterwards is highly recommended.

Can we bring our own food?

Yes you can, we have BBQ tables available to use. We also have BBQ’s for hire for $5 per hour per BBQ. Please book these when booking your game. Please ensure to bring cutlery, utensils etc. Please ensure all rubbish is taken with you when you leave including chillibins, boxes, bags and other bulky rubbish.
